Technical Center for Process Development and Optimization
Our state-of-the-art research and development center, the EVOSYS technical center, supports you in optimizing your products and processes for laser plastic welding. In interdisciplinary teams, we conduct sample welds, feasibility studies, and material testing under realistic conditions.
From initial prototyping to series production, we help you develop and refine your application, ensuring efficient and reliable implementation.
With decades of experience in laser welding technology, our experts provide guidance in material selection, component design, and process development. This ensures that your products are not only functional, but also optimized for quality, performance, and manufacturability.
By testing and validating your processes in our technical center, we help you achieve stable, reproducible results and accelerate your path to production.
Frequently Asked Questions
Thermoplastic elastomers. Thermoplastics occupy a special position among polymer materials because they are both meltable and plastically deformable. These two properties make it possible to weld thermoplastics using a laser. Two parts made of the same type of thermoplastic can generally be welded without difficulty. For dissimilar thermoplastics, the basic requirements are a minimum level of chemical and thermal compatibility and an overlap of the melting ranges of the materials to be welded.
Tests can be conducted at any time. Please feel free to contact us.
You specify which parts and materials are to be welded. In consultation with us, you send us sample parts. Once the parameters have been determined, we analyze the sample parts, evaluate the weld quality, and conduct a feasibility study.
You will receive the sample parts you submitted back immediately after the tests, along with a test report.
Yes, you’re welcome to watch our experts at work in the technical center.
Yes, every test is thoroughly documented and analytically evaluated. The test report will be provided to you upon completion of the test series.
